Ginger Hudock is a nutrition consultant

I am a holistic nutrition consultant in Aiken, SC. My business, Nutrition with Ginger, helps clients discover the power of personalized, whole foods nutrition to prevent and heal from many chronic health concerns.

While I work with clients with any number of health concerns, my specialty is food allergies and sensitivities, especially celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. I have experience with elimination diets and food sensitivity testing and use these as needed to help clients discover which foods may be provoking symptoms for them.

I am a graduate of the Nutrition Consultant Program at Hawthorn University. I am also a Certified Gluten Practitioner and a Certified BioIndividual Nutrition Practitioner. I have had additional training in nutrition for cancer support at Hawthorn, on traditional diets from the Weston A. Price Foundation  and in  courses  from the Institute for Functional Medicine.

I became interested in nutrition after using it to heal myself from a number of health problems that began in 2007. I discovered that I was on the celiac spectrum and thus was not able to eat products with gluten (wheat, rye, barley). Soon after I learned I was sensitive to certain other foods as well.  I  discovered the power of whole-foods to help with most chronic health conditions and started to cook from scratch, modify recipes, negotiate restaurant menus, and eat healthy foods, while eliminating the ones that are problems for me.

I have been a teacher for most of my adult life, working with both individuals and groups as a voice teacher, choir director, college-level business professor, Bible study leader and now in nutrition. By educating people in each of these areas, I help them discover their own internal motivation and the skills needed to put their knowledge into practice in their lives.
